Accelerated BSN Prerequisites
While not included in our accelerated nursing curriculum, prerequisites are an important component of your education, providing you the foundational knowledge you will need in your nursing studies.
In addition to meeting the admissions requirements for University of the Incarnate Word’s Accelerated BSN track, you must have obtained a GPA of 3.0 in the following prerequisite courses.
Keep in mind that the number of courses you will need to take depends on your previous degree and when you took them. Because these courses are science-based, applicants with a bachelor of science degree tend to meet more of the prerequisite requirements than applicants with a bachelor of arts.
When you talk to an admissions counselor, he or she will help you determine which, if any, you need to take.
